Corrymeela Community are offering to hold a bespoke 1-hour online workshop for all uniformed organisations in Shared Education for Youth. This workshop will reflect, explore, compliment, and enhance the approaches we use in promoting a shared education space, helping develop skills and approaches for you to use with your Section and Group.

The National Youth Representatives have been working hard organising the National Youth Assembly and Rover Focus, which will take place on the 5th-6th of November 2022. Two Scouts and two Ventures per Scout Group are invited to attend as delegates, with Group Leaders being able to register them on the form below. Rovers can register themselves for Rover Focus. The deadline for registration is 24th October 2022.

For Green Space Dark Skies, thousands of people from all paths in life are becoming Lumenators, each carrying a low impact light into the landscape. Together, we are experiencing beautiful green spaces across the UK. Imagine thousands of lights making patterns on mountains, lakes and moorland across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These lights are sensitive to the night-time environment.

The Brian Boru County Team are inviting all Group Leaders and Scouters within the County to join them for a Weekend of Scouting skills, fun and craic. The weekend will be run from the 24th-25th September at Gosford Forest Park, with plenty of space available to pitch your tent or to hang a Hammock. Backwoods and Pioneering Skills, along with Programme planning and Camp planning, are just some of the things happening across the weekend, as well as competitions, challenges...a skills day t-shirt and much more in-between!!!

On Friday 17 December 2021, the DfC published details of 2021/22 financial support for not-for-profit organisations affected financially by the COVID 19 pandemic. Grant awards of up to ÂŁ50,000 are available. In some exceptional circumstances grants higher than ÂŁ50,000 may also be awarded.

A Time Capsule for 2021 provides key learning aids – lesson plans (some have a supporting PowerPoint), an animation and a time capsule fact file – to explore what a time capsule is and how pupils can capture the essence of 2021. The target audience is Primary and Key Stage 3.
