In June 2021, the Department of Education announced that an NI100 Education Programme would be delivered to schools during the 2021/22 academic year. The programme involves a range of projects and I am providing you with specific details of the NI 100 Time Capsule Project.
Following a successful engagement with schools, the Education Authority (EA) are pleased to invite all EA-registered youth organisations in Northern Ireland to submit an expression of interest in the Time Capsule Project.
Organisations who agree to be involved in the project will be provided with a high quality, water-tight time capsule. We will be encouraging you to engage with a number of associated activities developed by CCEA and reflect upon learning experiences you may provide relating to the contents of your organisation’s capsule. The current support materials can be found at https://ccea.org.uk/learning-resources/northern-ireland-100/time-capsule-2021 with further materials to be added soon.
Although these materials were designed for use within a school environment, I am hopeful they will provide you with ideas and inspiration as you, and the children and young people you support, consider what would be sealed in your time capsule for future generations to discover.
This initial expression of interest, via the Microsoft Forms link below, will enable the EA to ensure that sufficient capsules are purchased through the applicable procurement processes. At this stage, once the pro-forma is completed no further action is required by you.
In due course we will write to each organisation to inform them of the progress in providing a time capsule.
