One Programme is the programme of Scouting Ireland and is used in all 5 Programme Sections. This principle means that each section of Scouting Ireland delivers the programme in a similar way. One Programme delivers the aim of Scouting Ireland through the use of the Scout Method and operates on the basis of Plan, Do and Review.
The Cub Pack is made up of all the young people and is broken into small groups called Sixes. There are 6 young people in each Six.
As with all age groups, all parts of the Scout Method are equally important. Planning and reviewing of all activities take place in the Sixer Council. The Sixer Council is a meeting of the Sixers, Seconders and a Scouter. Together they decide on programme ideas and games and the council helps the Sixer do the best job they can when leading their Six.
Animated characters are used to illustrate the six key areas of development and growth (Social, Physical, Intellectual, Character, Emotional, Spiritual) for our young people.
