The existence of a reserves policy for your Scout Group explains to funders and beneficiaries why your Scout Group may be holding a certain level of reserves. Reserves are typically held to cover running costs, but may include other planned projects. Your Trustees should decide whether a Reserves Policy is required/appropriate for your Scout Group.
This is a sample template that has been created by Scout Foundation N.I. which may be appropriate for use by Scouting Ireland Scout Groups. It has been updated to reflect the impacts COVID-19 has had on fundraising income, which is so important for Scout Groups.
