Scouting Ireland Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policy

Adult Safeguarding Prevention and Protection in Partnership (2015) was produced jointly by the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety and the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland. That policy document places a responsibility on all voluntary and community organisations in Northern Ireland, who provide recreational social, sporting or educational activities or services, to develop a policy and procedure for safeguarding adults who may be at risk of harm.

Scouting Ireland recognises that such a policy represents good practice and has decided to adopt such a policy for the entire organisation in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
