Backwoods Training – £25

Backwoods training will be ideally suited to someone who is still relatively new to Scouting and eager to develop themselves in line with BAS training and/ or a Scouter who wishes to re-establish their previous backwoods skills set.

All accommodation and meals part of training costs – (Outdoor Camping)

A fee of £25 is required as part of booking onto the course.

Limited to 2 Scouters per Scout group

The 2-day backwoods training offers all the elements of Scouting Ireland’s Backwoods adventure skills. You will experience a night around your own campfire amongst fellow scouters and will get a chance to sleep under the stars in a hammock and tarp. 

Training will incorporate a wide range of elements from camp set up, to building shelters to making fires and cooking amongst other things.
