Virtual scouting activities are permitted and a blended approach is encouraged with a focus on online / digital activities over face to face activities.
ONLINE TRAINING / MEETINGS | PERMITTED
Online training courses and meetings are permitted and are the preferred option for training delivery.
FACE TO FACE TRAINING/MEETINGS | PERMITTED
There is no limit on numbers during in person meetings and training with staff/volunteers but they comply fully with current health advice and mitigations must be put in place i.e. social distancing, wearing masks etc.
OUTDOOR MEETINGS | PERMITTED WITH RESTRICTIONS
Outdoor Meetings are permitted there are no restrictions on numbers when outdoors. Where the two meter social distancing rule cannot be maintained, face coverings should be worn (post-primary ages) unless medically exempt.
• Hygiene breaks should be built into your sessions. • Supervised games/sports are permitted – non contact. • Food and refreshments can be provided as part of your youth work programme as long as these are not shared between participants. • Scout groups can only mix/do activities with one scout group on the same day i.e. you can’t meet up with more than one group to do activities and you can’t meet more than one group on any given day.
INDOOR MEETINGS | PERMITTED WITH RESTRICTIONS
Indoor Meetings are permitted in groups of maximum 25 youth members (not including volunteers). The total number in Scout halls must not exceed 75% capacity at any time.
All attendees must comply fully with current health advice on social distancing of 2 metres and wearing masks.

OUTDOOR DAY TRIPS | PERMITTED WITH RESTRICTIONS
Days trips, hikes, etc. away from your normal meeting place are permitted.
All previously mentioned mitigations apply and groups must follow transport guidelines in youth restart booklet.
